As you know, nursery rhymes are young children’s songs usually associated to playground games.
The most famous of them all in the English-speaking countries is “Ring-a-ring o’roses”, a children’s singing game in which players hold hands and dance in a circle, falling down at the end of the song.
The words of Ring a Ring o' Roses differ by region and also by country, but the tune is the same. |

At the end of the line We all fall down, the group usually falls down into a heap, and in some versions of the game the last down would choose a favourite or take the place of another in the middle of the ring.
Ring games which end in flopping to the ground or similar are common throughout Europe.
Have fun singing them and don't forget to visit Barry4kids very often. Cheers.
